Oilers’ Khabibulin could solve Chicago’s goaltending problem
Russian goaltender Nikolay Khabibulin could be Chicago Blackhawks’ primary target after the Islanders refused to let Evgeny Nabokov leave.
According to an article in Globe and Mail, Blackhawk’s current netminders are not playing at the necessary level, so the club was looking at the two Russian goalies as their potential replacements.
After it became clear that Nabokov is unavailable, Chicago will focus their efforts on signing the 38-year-old Russian from Edmonton.
