Rashid Rakhimov was sacked as head coach of Amkar Perm. According to the president of the club, Gennady Shilov, the parties decided to terminate the contract by mutual consent, Amkar’s official website reported.
Goran Aleksic, who was senior coach under Rakhimov, will be now acting as interim head, according to RIA Novosti. The new head coach of Amkar will be announced next week. Recently it had been reported that the club may bring back Miodrag Bozovic.
Rakhimov had also worked in Amkar in 2006-2007, while his recent stint lasted since 2009. His highest achievement with the Perm-based club was the 8th place in the Russian Premier League in 2007.
