Kerzhakov avoids FA punishment for foul on Spartak keeper Dikan

RFU discipline committee decided not to give further punishment to Zenit striker Alexander Kerzhakov for his challenge on Spartak Moscow goalkeeper Andrey Dikan, which left the Ukrainian with a broken jaw and a concussion.

Spartak will appeal the decision, pointing out that their striker Welliton was given a six-match ban for a similar tackle on CSKA goalkeeper Akinfeev.
