Anzhi and Hungarian FA in row over Dzsudzsak’s call-up to national team

The Football Federation of Hungary and Anzhi Makhachkala entered a disagreement about whether Balazs Dzsudzsak should play for the national team in the upcoming game against Finland.

Dzsudzsak broke his collarbone in a Russian Premier League match in late August. Initially he had been expected to be out of action until the end of the year, but the actual recovery went faster and the doctors’ forecasts became more optimistic.

The Euro 2012 qualifier between Hungary and Finland is scheduled for October 11. The Hungarians still have a theoretical chance of taking second place in their group (but may lose them as soon as tomorrow if Sweden beat Finland).

According to the national team’s doctors, Dzsudzsak is already fit enough to take part in the game, though he hasn’t played a competitive match for Anzhi since the injury. Meanwhile, the club’s doctors believe otherwise and insist the player shouldn’t be allowed to play. Meanwhile, Dszudzsak is now in the national teams training camp and says he feels himself fit and would gladly play 50 or 60 minutes if he is allowed by the club. Additional 3D scan of the player’s collarbone is expected to put the end to the situation.
