Zenit are courting CSKA’s Alan Dzagoev

Representatives of Zenit St. Petersburg have held a meeting with CSKA and Russian national team midfielder Alan Dzagoev. It has taken place in St. Petersburg after the Russian national team’s Euro 2012 qualifier against Armenia. This information has become available to Sports.ru reporter Denis Bystrov from a reliable source close to the player. However, the said source has revealed that the idea of a move to Zenit hadn’t quite appealed to Dzagoev.

It’s worth noting that Dzagoev has been training with CSKA youth team in the end of May after some high words with the team’s head coach Leonid Slutsky. His returning to trainings with the main team is expected right after he comes back to Moscow from the national team.
