Salavat Yulaev funding will not be cut down
Chairman of Ural charitable foundation, former president of Bashkortostan Murtaza Rakhimov has stated that the charity had not refused to finance Salavat Yulaev, as it had been reported, but only had suspended the allocation of funds until the end of the week.
«I’ve never made a decision to refuse funding of Salavat Yulaev hockey club, which is the national pride of Bashkortostan, its brand and glory and the joy of people not just in our republic, but in whole Russia. I even hadn’t thought about it. It’s impossible even in theory, because we have concluded a contract on funding of this club till the end of 2011, which has been signed and sealed,» stated Rakhimov as quoted by ITAR-TASS.
The club’s general manager Oleg Gross also declared that in the forthcoming season the current KHL champions will not become weaker and their budget will remain at the last year’s level.
«Speaking about our financial resources, everything is OK, there’s no reason to be scared or worried. Salavat will compete for the highest places once again. Our squad will in no way become weaker. As of today, my team is 80 percent complete – one more forward and one more defender it’s all we need. The budget at my disposal is the same as it has been, nothing happened to it,» stated Gross according to RIA Novosti.
