De Zeeuw’s transfer to Spartak depends on him, clubs have reached agreement

Spartak Moscow and Ajax Amsterdam have reached a general agreement on the transfer of Dutch defender Demi de Zeeuw to the Russian club. According to De Telegraaf, the price of the transfer could reach €7-8 million.

As the source noted, the final decision depends only on the player’s desire. In the nearest future he intends to meet with the coaching staff of the team to estimate his chances for regular first team football next season.

«It all depends on what Demi wants. If he decides to leave, there are some options for him,» said the speaker for Ajax.

De Zeeuw’s contract with the Amsterdam club lasts until 2013. In the previous season de Zeeuw played in 26 matches of the Dutch championship and scored one goal.
