Alberto Zapater: I know Russian league quite well

The new signing of Lokomotiv Moscow Alberto Zapater has spoken about his transfer to the Russian club in an interview with its official website.

«I have never been to Russia. I have read a lot about Moscow on the Internet before travelling here, researched its history, looked at the photos, and until now my expectations from the city have been proving true. It very nice here, however, the weather doesn’t seem much like the summer. But in Spain it also became much colder just before I flew here.»

«How well do you know the Russian championship?»

«Quite well. In Spain there’s a possibility to watch the broadcasts of your Premier League and I did it quite often. For example, I recently watched the game between Anzhi and Zenit. In general the number of people in Spain interested in the Russian championship is growing. Everyone sees that your league progresses very quickly.»

«Will your family move to Moscow with you?»

«I will live here together with my girlfriend. However, I will still need to settle the issue of her employment in Moscow. In Spain she has been working in healthcare and has no desire to become a housewife. Hopefully, I will manage to find her a suitable job here.»

«You’ve been having a holiday during the last weeks. How much time will you need to get back into your best shape?»

«Not much, because I have been keeping my shape during holiday. I spent only a week in Miami, but for most time I was having holidays in Spain, in my native town of Ejea de los Caballeros. There I was jogging every morning and in the evening I played football with the kids from the local team.»
