Leo Komarov: «I like the idea of playing on an open rink in Sweden»
Dinamo Moscow’s Finnish forward Leo Komarov welcomed the plans to host some of the Euro Hockey Tour matches in Sweden’s open ice-rink.
«The idea of playing in open air appeals to me, I can’t wait for it! I don’t see any downsides, it will be great hockey. I like playing outside. It is our tradition in Finland and until I was 16, I played on an open ice-rink regularly. I had frostbite on my ears, my nose, but it doesn’t worry me, even if the temperature drops below -20C. The key is to wear a little hat under you helmet,» said the Finnish international, who also holds a Russian passport.
