Ovechkin intends to play against Czech Republic at the World Championship

Washington Capitals forward Alexander Ovechkin has arrived to Vienna, from where he went to Bratislava in order to join the Russian national team at the 2011 World Hockey Championship. The player is going to take part in the team’s training scheduled at 12.00 CET, according to Sportbox.ru.

In addition to that Ovechkin intends to play for the national team in the qualifying round match against Czech Republic. In Bratislava the Russian will also have the stitches from his injured nose removed.
