Valery Karpin: Perhaps someone pretending to be me held negotiations with Bocchetti?

Spartak Moscow boss Valery Karpin denied speculations that the club made an approach for Rubin Kazan defender Salvatore Bocchetti.

«If Bocchetti’s agent claims a Spartak representative held negotiations with him, let him name them. Perhaps I don’t know something he does, maybe someone pretending to be me spoke to him?» joked the Red and White’s head coach, who is also the club’s executive director, in an interview to Sovetsky sport.
