Hodgson: WBA not interested in Pogrebnyak

West Bromwich Albion manager Roy Hodgson has dismissed rumours that his club is looking to sign VfB Stuttgart’s Russian striker Pavel Pogrebnyak.

«We’re not going to make an offer for Pogrebnyak. Yes, we need a striker. But as the end of the transfer window approaches, chances of us finding one are getting slimmer.»

«It has to be a player who suits us, not just someone who comes into the team and we have to work with,» added the former Liverpool coach.
