Russia announce squad for Greece friendly

Russian national team head coach Dick Advocaat announced the names of the twenty players to be called up for the friendly match against Greece.

Russia’s preparations for match will start on November 9. The game itself will be held on November 11 in Piraeus at beginning at 21.30 CET, according to the official site of the Russian Football Union.

Goalkeepers: Vyacheslav Malafeev (Zenit), Anton Shunin (Dynamo).

Defenders: Alexander Anyukov (Zenit), Alexey Berezutsky, Vasily Berezutsky, Sergey Ignashevich (all – CSKA), Yury Zhirkov (Anzhi), Roman Shishkin (Lokomotiv).

Midfielders: Diniyar Bilyaletdinov (Everton), Denis Glushakov (Lokomotiv), Igor Denisov, Konstantin Zyryanov, Roman Shirokov (all – Zenit), Alan Dzagoev (CSKA), Alexander Samedov, Igor Semshov (both – Dynamo).

Forwards: Andrey Arshavin (Arsenal), Alexander Kokorin (Dynamo), Roman Pavlyuchenko (Tottenham), Pavel Pogrebnyak (Stuttgart).
