Anzhi chase Schalke’s Raul, but transfer is unlikely to happen

According to a report by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Anzhi Makhachkala are ready to offer €12 million for Schalke 04 forward Raul Gonzalez. The Spaniard has fallen out of grace with the team’s new coach Ralf Rangnick and may to leave the team.

However, the transfer of Raul to Anzhi is very unlikely to take place. According to Sovetsky sport, the former legend of Real Madrid is reluctant to leave Western Europe, as he doesn’t want to live too far away from his family whom he left in Spain. Raul intends to return to Spain after his contract with Schalke expires at the end of this season.
