Stipe Pletikosa: I preferred Rostov to Italy, Greece, and Scotland

The 32-year-old Croatian goalkeeper Stipe Pletikosa revealed why he had decided to move to Russian club FC Rostov.

«I had some offers from Italy, Greece, and Scotland, but I decided to choose a place where I can play at last. It’s the most important thing for me, especially as the Euro 2012 is near,» Pletikosa said to Sportske Novosti.

The Croatia national team goalkeeper has signed two-years contract with Rostov and will earn $650,000 a season.
