Lokomotiv Yaroslavl won’t take part in upcoming KHL season

Yury Yakovlev, president of Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, said his club would not take part in the 2011-12 KHL season after the plane crash that killed almost all the players in the first team and will return to the league next year.

«Our primary goal is to help the families and then we’ll revive the team. However, this requires both people and time. Therefore, we will continue our performances in the KHL next year. It’s our firm position», Yakovlev said as quoted by Sovetsky sport.
