Danko Lazovic: It won’t matter if we lose to CSKA

A defeat to title bid rivals CSKA Moscow wouldn’t change the Russian Premier League title race, Zenit forward Danko Lazovic claimed in an interview to Sport-Express.

«Yes I did, and the Red Army looked impressive. If we lose, it doesn’t mean anything, if we win it doesn’t matter either – there are still eleven matches to go. But it’s still going to be important, and a good result will keep our spirits high for the Portugal trip. So we’ll try to get the three points.»

«Has CSKA changed much over the winter break?»

«Vagner’s departure must have limited their attacking prowess somewhat, but they are still a formidable opponent,» Lazovic stated.
