Arshavin unlikely to join Lazio

Igli Tare, sporting director of Lazio, has denied rumors about his club’s interest in Arsenal and Russia international midfielder Andrey Arshavin.

«Arshavin is a great player. I think any team would like to have him. However, he is absolutely unlikely to join Lazio. There are several reasons for that. Firstly, we haven’t contacted Arsenal, and secondly, I don’t think the London club would be willing to part ways with such a player,» Tare said as quoted by calcionews24.com.
