Espanol’s Joan Verdu denies negotiations with Rubin Kazan

Despite recent reports suggesting that Rubin Kazan have been interested in signing Espanol midfielder Joan Verdu and have already begun negotiations with him, the player himself denied the existence of such talks.

«My agent is in charge of such issues. I know nothing about the interest of Rubin Kazan or any other club», Verdu said according to AS.

Verdu joined Espanol in the summer of 2009, his contract expires in 2013. Last season he took part in 37 matches in La Liga, scoring 5 goals.
