Zenit release Chilean leftback Nicolas Penailillo

Zenit St. Petersburg have submitted to the Russian Football Premier League an official letter stating that the Chilean defender Nicolas Penailillo has been released by the club.

According to Zenit’s official website, the coaching staff has made a decision to terminate early the agreement with the player and his former club Everton de Vina del Mar by mutual consent of the parties. The player will continue his career at Everton.

The 20-year-old leftback joined Zenit in March, having concluded a six-month contract till August 31, 2011 with an extension option.
