Roberto Carlos: I will become president of Anzhi in 2013

The captain of Anzhi Makhachkala Roberto Carlos has revealed he had reachen an agreement with a the club’s directors that in two years, after his contract expires, he would become the club’s president.

«I have played a year at Corinthians, it was a nice year, but then I encountered some problems and decided to terminate my contract and to leave Brazil. I got a possibility to take the post of president of a football club in Russia. I am going to stay here for a long time. In two years I will end my playing career and will become president of Anzhi. Suleiman Kerimov will still be the owner of the club.

«Now it’s the first time I speak about it, but we still have two years until then. When I become president, I will collect a strong team with several Brazilian players in it», stated Roberto Carlos in an interview with A Cidade.

General director of Anzhi German Chistyakov didn’t deny this information in a conversation with Sports.ru reporter Vladislav Voronin.

«We love Roberto Carlos very much and will be just glad if he decides to stay at Anzhi after the end of his playing career. Therefore, everything is possible,» Chistyakov said.
