Lokomotiv Yaroslavl charter plane crashes on takeoff, most of passengers killed
Yak-42 plane with the players of Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, which was performing a charter flight to Minsk, crashed on takeoff in Yaroslavl airport Tunoshna. There were 37 people on board, as of now there is information of only one survivor. Rescue brigades are working at the crash site.
The plane had Lokomotiv’s main team on board who were flying to Belarus for their Thursday’s first match of the new KHL season against Dynamo Minsk.
According to the eyewitnesses the plane has turned into a pile of burnt iron. New survivors are unlikely to be a found, Yarnovosti reported.
