I don′t know if you really read these comments, but I don′t understand why everyone here thinks that leaving CSKA for a farm team in the NHL is such a major issue?! First of all, with Columbus shipping off Zherdev there is a potential spot for you right away (although those are big shoes to fill), but even if you don′t make the team from training camp, the level of play can′t be that much worse. More than that - why risk playing in the CHL and have them later say that you still can′t leave because now you have bigger legal issues. I think you made the right decision.
As a NJ Devils fan I wish you came to the islanders, but I′m still going to look forward to watching you play on TV.
And as far as the weight - Brian Gionta who′s on the devils top line is 5′7 and 175. In the post lockout NHL size isn′t everything. There are many smaller players - and you′re already bigger than Gionta ;)
