Seidou Doumbia: Chelsea is my dream, but not an obsession

CSKA forward Seydou Doumbia has spoken about his adaptation progress in Russia, has stated that he still isn’t completely satisfied with his performances, and has shared his opinion on a move to Chelsea.

«Have you had any difficulties to adapt to the harsh climate in Moscow?»

«Not really. The championship has a break in the winter and we don’t have to play at -20°C. The training camps are usually held in sunny and warm countries, so it’s not a problem for me. Also bear in mind that I have played in Switzerland, where the weather isn’t like in Africa.»

«Having taken second place in the Russian league and having been eliminated from the Europa League, are you happy with your first season?»

«I have played only a half of that season for CSKA. Few injuries in November made me miss some matches and despite scoring eleven goals I’m not completely satisfied with myself. I could have done much better. I hope this season will allow me to show a performance that would fit my ambitions better.»

«You never made a secret that playing at Chelsea is one of your dreams. Are you planning to play in the Premier League in the near future?»

«Chelsea was my dream club since I was a child, but it’s not an obsession. I have a contract until June 2015. For now, I am 100% devoted to CSKA and I have big plans ambitions associated with this club,» Doumbia stated in an interview with Foot Mercato.
