Lokomotiv Moscow begin talks with West Ham forward Demba Ba

Lokomotiv Moscow have become interested in hiring Senegal national team and West Ham forward Demba Ba, as the reporter of Sports.ru Denis Bystrov has become aware from a reliable source among the management of the Russian club.

It is assumed that Alexey Smertin, former Chelsea midfielder and currently the advisor to president of Lokomotiv, will leave Moscow on Sunday in order to hold negotiations with the player and his agent. The estimated cost of the transfer is £7 million ($11.4 million).

However, Newcastle and Stoke City may become Lokomotiv’s competitors in the chase for the Senegalese forward.
