Yevgeny Nabokov: Frequent brain injuries in the NHL are caused by the game’s intensity

New York Islanders keeper Yevgeny Nabokov has shared his opinion regarding the cause of an epidemic of brain injuries plaguing the NHL.

«There is really an epidemic of brain injuries in the NHL. I think this is due to the fact that the game is very intensive there and it’s played on smaller rinks. The players skate so fast that it’s difficult to avoid hard collisions», said the goaltender as quoted by Sovetsky Sport.
