CSKA president: State funding of Russian clubs may become prohibited since 2012
CSKA Moscow president Yevgeni Giner has told about the supposedly upcoming prohibition of state budget funding for Russian clubs in an interview with Russian magazine Futbol kak delo.
«I won’t assert it, but at one of the recent meetings of the Executive Committee [of thr Russian Football Union – Sports.ru] I have heard that state budget funding would be prohibited since 2012.»
«I don’t know how true is that and how it will be arranged – I didn’t go particularly deep into that. From the point of view of football authorities, as soon as the financial Fair Play is implemented, allocation of funds from regional budgets would become impossible. How would you explain to the UEFA such an item of incomes like ‘allocations from mayor’s office’?» stated Giner.
