Elena Ilinykh Could teach of HER a Thing or two about Conducting a savvy interview. Do not judge me I of just think she's one's's of the smartest young ladies out there. But I digress. If Moser is going to give such a Unpleasant interview Would not the BE
better to just not say anything?
But he talks as though Ruslena were the only ones inferior to the Canadians and Americans. Both SinKats and SteBuk were inferior to them as well as the Italians, French and Brits. Allow all the kids to develop to the best of their abilities. Putting all your eggs in one basket has never worked.
I guess it’s a matter of style. Maybe it’s better to just agree to disagree. But I really missed the bigger picture in this entire interview. Zhulin more or less confirms it. Ruslana and Lena will remain with Igor. Exceedingly happy for the kids. I hope they gain much from this experience.
Now tell me, it took Nikita all of six seasons to become a decent partner for Lena. Ruslan was able to show his potential from their first season. In six seasons since their debut no other pairing has shown the potential of Lena and Nikita in Russia, but the USA has put two pairs on the world championship podium in that same length of time? The problem isn’t only with our skaters, its also with our ice dancing system. That’s the real, real story.
Just another Russian expert publicly vilifying their own athletes. I guess that’s much easier than addressing the issue as to why the Americans, Canadians, French, Italians and British are all superior to the two best Russian Ice dance pairs sent to the world championships. Hilarious.
But this man is quite rude. If he could work wonders for Bobrova and Soloviev, why can’t Igor do the same for Ilinykh and Zhiganshin? Understanably the federation must not be very enthusiastic about Katsalapov and Sinitsina but what is done is done. When will they ever learn to simply say less and plow, all of them? They do their athletes a great disservice.
Spasiba? Thank you. I’ll try not to post too often it must be frustrating. It’s easier for me because I just translate all the Russian to English. I don’t mean to intentionally offend. I just find ice dancing fascinating at the moment.
Thank you Igor for believing in the kids.
Rolling on the floor laughing. How many times Mr. Katsalapov blamed his failures on the unstable Lena. The entire federation believed and they gave him the partner he desired and still multiple mistakes on his part. Truth, progress begins with truth, an acknowledgment of the real facts. Empty PR gets you 9th and 11th places. SinKats in my eyes looked no better than StepBuk in the FD, IMHO. They also had no palpable chemistry. He looks at her as though she were a child and he was teaching her a lesson. How condescending. How attractive is that? How do we fix that problem. She was more stable and sure of herself last night, he was a mess. It appears to me also that Katsalapov does not perform well under pressure. How then will we fight for the highest places? Russian ice dance needs to start from scratch.
No more back door games. Give all pairs whatever they need to win and THEN let the best skate win. Ruslena will remain with Igor. The FED has no other choice. Where is Nikitos? Didn’t he say they would rescue Russian ice dance? Didn’t he say Lena was always the errant one? And with all the negative press that Ruslena endured last year, SinKats could not do any better than them this season. I hope everyone draws the right conclusions. SC may have their charms but as of now I see nothing special. Today Sinitsina looked better than her partner. Russian ice dance needs to plow, plow and plow and talk less, much less.
