Bulat Chagaev’s Xamax expelled from Swiss Super League
The Disciplinary Committee of the Swiss Football League has taken away Neuchatel Xamax’s license for participating in the tournaments organized by the League.
«The Disciplinary Commission has reached the conclusion that the conditions for the license are no longer met due to the non-presentation of financial guarantees. The disciplinary commission is also convinced that the banking guarantee from the Bank of America was not provided by the latter,» the statement said as quoted by Reuters.
Now the club has 5 days to appeal against the decision of the Disciplinary Committee. Earlier the club had been deducted 8 points for wage delays.
It’s worth mentioning that Russian businessman Bulat Chagaev became the owner of Neuchatel Xamax last May, promising to take the club into the Champions League.
