Police won’t prosecute anyone for the ‘Nikezic case’

Krasnodar City Police decided not to dismiss the claim for libel concerning the complaints of former Kuban Krasnodar player Nikola Nikezic who had accused the clubs’ representatives of forcing him into the termination of his contract.

No action will be brought also against the club’s general director Suren Mkrtchyan under Article 306 of the Russian Criminal Code (false denunciation) for lack of evidence of a crime.

Moreover, the police have also dismissed the case under Article 116 Section 1 of the Russian Criminal Code (battery) for the same reason of the lack of corpus delicti, said the head of Krasnodar police press service Ilya Shakalov according to RIA Novosti.
