Vitaly Mutko: We have to develop facilities in Southern Russia, not give money to Turkey
Russian sports minister Vitaly Mutko said the country has to develop sporting facilities in the South so the Russian clubs would not go to Turkey for pre-season training.
«From January to March our football clubs go to Turkey for pre-season training and spend there $80-100 million,» Mutko was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.
«Why doesn’t the government of Krasnodar Region create good conditions for training in the southern parts of our country, so we would not to give these money away to Turkey? In Soviet times all the teams trained successfuly at home and no one even heard about Turkey.»
