FIFA agent claims Kuban representatives took his company’s money from Zelao transfer
FIFA agent Brian Humphreys, representative of Majestic Management, has written a letter of complaint about the actions of Kuban Krasnodar management at the conclusion of agreement with Brazilian defender Zelao, a client of Humprey’s company.
Zelao has joined Kuban ahead of this season from the bankrupt Saturn.
«Zelao asked Majestic Management to find him a new club and we offered the player to Kuban head coach Dan Petrescu. The general manager and directors of the team told us they were interested in the player, but intended to finish the deal without Majestic Management, though we had a document signed by Zelao and confirming that we were his official representatives. We controlled the player until he returned to Moscow, where he was approached by Kuban representatives who offered him money to sign an agreement without Majestic Management. (As we were told at the meeting with them in Turkey, this was made to allow the club’s official representatives benefit from the transfer commission charge.)
I have to inform you that I have already contacted Mr. Fursenko asking him to investigate these acts of corruption. Hopefully, he can find a solution to prevent the damage to the reputation of the Russian football. I have a great respect for the Russians, but I don’t consider Kuban representatives to be proper members of the Russian football,» Humphreys wrote according to Championat.ru.
