Israeli Hapoel Acre set to file $1 millon claim to FIFA against Anzhi

Israeli football club Hapoel Acre intends to file a $1 millon claim to FIFA against Anzhi Makhachkala.

The Israelis have accused Anzhi of forging Hapoel president Tzion Weitzman’s signature under the official document concerning the possible transfer of Togo striker Arafat Djako. They also claim that Anzhi officials assisted Djako to break the agreement with Hapoel.

Earlier, Arafat Djako has left Hapoel’s training ground without the club’s permission and went to Makhachkala to sign an agreement with the Russian team. However, the transfer fell through because of the player’s agent.

The indemnity claim has been already drawn up by Hapoel’s lawyers and will be sent to FIFA by the end of next week.
