Katusha get four-year World Tour license
Russian cycling team Katusha got a new World Tour license for the next four years at the meetings of the special licensing commission of the International Cycling Union (UCI).
According to the team’s press service, the new license will be effective during the period from 2012 to 2015. It’s worth noting that four years is the longest possible period, for which a professional team can get a World Tour license.
Such license gives the team the right to participate in all the world’s major races, including Tour de France, Giro d’Italia, Vuelta, and the spring classic races.
