Menchov in talks with Katusha

Hans-Michael Holzer, general manager of Katyusha cycling team, said the Russian team had already offered a contract to Denis Menchov, but the sides hadn’t reached an agreement yet.

Menchov’s current team Geox-TMC may cease to exist because of financial problems.

«We haven’t signed a contract with Menchov for several reasons. First of all, he still has a valid agreement with Geox-TMC, which complicates the problem. As a result, we were unable to agree on some terms of the contract on both sides of it,» Holzer said according to RIA Novosti.
