Rosneft to add $1.5 million to Tom’ Tomks transfer kitty

Russian oil-giant Rosneft will provide 50 million roubles worth of funding to the struggling Siberian club Tom’, claims the Tomsk governor Viktor Kress.

«To stay in the Premier League you need a whole different level of financing. So at the moment we are in talks to add around 50 million roubles of transfer money to the overall sponsorship fee (nearly 200 million roubles),» Kress told RIA Novosti.

Earlier reports in the Russian press indicated the club intends to make up to 10 new signings before the transfer window shuts in late February.
