Roman Pavlyuchenko: Lokomotiv aim to catch up with Zenit

Lokomotiv Moscow striker Roman Pavlyuchenko revealed his team’s plans to get back into the title race and expressed his hopes for a Spartak victory against league leaders Zenit.

«I am in the Russian league now, so I try to stay on top of the current events, including following our title rivals, like Spartak,» the former Tottenham ace claimed.

«I spent a lot of years in Spartak and I know a lot of the lads who are still playing there, but now they are my opponents. I can see another team catching up with the Saint-Petersburg outfit this season, so why can’t it be Lokomotiv? I reckon Spartak will win 1-0,» the Russian forward told Sport-Express.
