Spartak owner: stick to the current foreigners quota in the RPL
Leonid Fedun, the owner of Spartak Moscow, once again insisted that removing the quota on foreign players would have «disastrous consequences» on the Russian Premier League.
«Some clubs are again trying to raise the issue of cancelling the restrictions on foreigners. We feel very strongly about this: it would cause irreparable damage to Russian football. Spartak, as well as other clubs, like Lokomotiv, invested huge resources into expanding its academy, so increasing the number of foreigners will be dire. Particularly with World Cup 2018 coming up,» Fedun told Sport-Express.
