Lokomotiv refuse to release Zenit target Renat Yanbaev

Lokomotiv Moscow made an official statement dismissing rumours of fullback Renat Yanbaev’s alleged transfer to Russian champions Zenit St. Petersburg.

«Despite reports in the press, Lokomotiv is not willing to part company with our defender Renat Yanbaev. He will continue the pre-season training with the rest of the squad and his future lies with the Railwayman,» said the statement on the club’s official website.

Earlier Sport-Express reported that another Moscow club, Dynamo, was also eyeing the 27-year-old Russia international.
