Samuel Eto’o: We all work for money, whoever says otherwise is a hypocrite
Anzhi Makhachkala forward Samuel Eto’o confirmed that his decision to move to the Russian club was strongly influenced by money.
«I received an offer of Anzhi and took it. I have a slightly different vision of my transfer than the rest of the people. Too many things in this club have exceeded my expectations. Moreover, it has the opportunities for professional growth.
«We all work for money, whoever says otherwise is a hypocrite. For me it was important to show millions of African children who dream of becoming football players that anything is possible. Kerimov wants to make Anzhi a strong club and for that he is trying to invite appropriate players. That’s how he decided to sign me,» Eto’o said in an interview with AS.
Samuel Eto’o moved to Anzhi from Inter Milan for €21 million in August, and his salary will be €10 million per season plus various bonuses.
