Defour’s agent: Steven told me he’s too young for Lokomotiv
Paul Stefani, agent of Standard Liege midfielder Steven Defour, has commented on the player’s decision not to move to Lokomotiv Moscow.
«Yesterday the president of Lokomotiv Olga Smorodskaya called me and asked, whether Steven could arrive to Moscow on Friday or Saturday. She added that there will be no visa problems and that the player may pass medical examination upon arrival. I answered that I will pass her words to Steven.
«Defour, in his turn, told to me that he had made a decision not to move to Lokomotiv. He had discussed all the details with his wife, has weighed up all the pros and cons, and eventually refused the offer. I should admit that the offer was quite lucrative, but Steven would like to move to a team that takes part in the Champions League. Do not forget, it hasn’t been a long time since a club like Real Madrid was interested in him! He told me: ‘I am too young to move to Lokomotiv’,» Stefani stated in an interview with Sovetsky Sport.
