Terek vice-president confirms signing of Martin Jiranek
Vice-president of Terek Grozny, Khaidar Alkhanov, has confirmed earlier reports suggesting that the former defender of Spartak Moscow Martin Jiranek will move to the Chechen club.
«Jiranek is in Grozny now. Today he has signed a two-years contract. From now on he is a player of Terek,» stated Alkhanov accordign to RIA Novosti news agency.
However, in another interview Alkhanov said the contract is yet to be signed. «As of now we have come to a verbal arrangement on all questions. We have settled all the details of the future agreement. Tomorrow Martin will pass medical examination and after that we will put our signatures under the contract. So we can say that Jiranek will become a player of Terek since July 17,» he was quoted as saying by Sport-Express.
The 32-year-old Czech has been playing for Spartak Moscow from 2004 to 2010. Last season he spent in the English Premier League, having played 10 games for Birmingham City.
