Rubin deny Carlos Eduardo’s possible move to Gremio

Rubin Kazan head coach Kurban Berdiyev said Brazilian midfielder Carlos Eduardo, who has been linked strongly with a move to Gremio, will stay at the Russian club.

«First of all, Carlos Eduardo is now in Kazan. Secondly, I spoke to him after those reports – and it turned out that neither correspondents, nor any representatives of the club had contacted him. Believe me, Eduardo is worried by the current situation just as we and our sponsors are, it’s a thing that can happen to anyone. He is not dead, and, of course, the money we spent on him will bear some fruit.»

«We’ve never discussed his move! Neither has anyone approached him, nor have we been contacted. It was just a hoax invented by someone, and a major newspaper believed it. You could just check the report by calling the club,» Berdiyev said as quoted by Sovetsky sport.

Earlier reports in Brazilian media suggested Carlos Eduardo had visited Brazil to negotiate his move to Gremio.»The situation is evolving rapidly.
