Rubin’s Carlos Eduardo wants to return to Gremio, his agent rules out possibility
Rubin Kazan midfielder Carlos Eduardo expressed a desire to leave Russia and join Gremio.
«Of course, there is a chance for me to play again for Gremio. And I would like to return. However, it does not depend on me, but rather on my current club», Carlos Eduardo said on air for Radio Guaiba. «Let’s hope for the best. Today I’m happy, because I have my family and friends near me. This year turned out to be very hard for me.»
The Brazilian, who joined Rubin in August 2010 for a record €20m, hasn’t played a single match this season because of a knee injury.
Still, his agent Jorge Machado ruled out the possibility of a move to Gremio.
«Carlos Eduardo will not join Gremio – it is absolutely impossible. Under no circumstances will Rubin let him go. They paid big money for him and won’t even agree to a loan,» Machado said as quoted by Terra.
«He has almost recovered from a knee injury and the club let him go home for treatment, since it is cold in Russia during this time of the year, and it may interfere with his normal recovery. There he visited Gremio, and then said he wanted to return. But I repeat once again, this won’t happen under any circumstances.
