Monaco defender Igor Lolo agrees move to Kuban Krasnodar

AS Monaco defender Igor Lolo has agreed to join Kuban Krasnodar. The Ivorian is expected to sign a three-year contract with the Russian club today or tomorrow, L’Equipe reported quoting France Football magazine.

«I have been hesitating for a long time before making the decision to leave Monaco. But I still made this choice.

«I have fallen in love with Kuban. It is a very professional club with serious ambitions,» Lolo said.

Lolo has already played in post-Soviet leagues: in 2004–2005 he took part in 23 matches for the Ukrainian club Metalurh Donetsk, who have deep connections with Kuban. The main sponsor of both clubs is Ukrainian metallurgical consortium ISD.
