Stipe Pletikosa is close to joining Rostov

According to the information that became available to Sports.ru, Croatia national team goalkeeper Stipe Pletikosa has arrived today in Rostov-on-Don to sign a contract with the local Premier League club Rostov.

The club’s general director Yury Belous refused to make any comments on this information.

In July Pletikosa terminated his contract with Spartak Moscow, whom he joined in August 2007. With the Red-and-Whites the Croat took part in 86 games and won the silver of the Russian league twice .

Pletikosa spent his last season at Tottenham on loan, but only made one League Cup appearance during his time in England.
