Keisuke Honda worried by lack of progress, his agent denies possible exit
CSKA Moscow midfielder Keisuke Honda has revealed he is not content with his current situation at the Russian club.
«I haven’t been progressing lately. It irritates me, I’m dissatisfied with the current situation and it should be changed. I have to progress. If I get used to what I have now, it won’t do me any good,» Honda stated according to De Telegraaf.
Sports.ru got in touch with Honda’s agent Kees Ploegsma, asking him to comment on the words of his Japanese client.
«Keisuke’s words did not concern Moscow or CSKA – he is content both with the city and the team. He only spoke about football, about his own performances. He likes it in Russia.»
Being asked if it meant that Honda would like to remain at CSKA, Ploegsma said: «Yes, everything is excellent for him here. On the other hand, you can never tell what will happen in the end. It’s football, everything is possible here.»
Ploegsma also commented on the recent rumors about French club PSG being interested in signing Honda: «Most likely, these are rumors. Maybe, there is some interest from PSG’s side, but no one has contacted me. There were no serious talks on this issue.
