Zinetula Bilyaletdinov may become new head coach of Russia

Chairman of board of the KHL Vyacheslav Fetisov has admitted that he would like to see Ak Bars Kazan head coach Zinetula Bilyaletdinov at the helm of the Russian national team.

«Last week the KHL president Alexander Medvedev and I spoke to Bilyaletdinov about his work at the national team. We are really interested in him taking charge of it.

«Moreover, the staff that will assist the new head coach is already being formed. We expect such well-known players as Alexander Mogilni, Valeri Kamenski, and Sergey Fyodorov to join it. These people have been interested in helping the national team for some time, but the previous coaching staff did not allow them to work,» Fetisov stated to Sovetsky Sport.
