Oleg Znarok may take charge of Russian national team

Current head coach of Latvia national team and KHL club Dynamo Moscow Oleg Znarok is considered to be a candidate to the head coach position at the Russian national team, according to Telegraf.lv.

Znarok himself has confirmed the fact that head of the Russian Hockey Federation Vladislav Tretyak has had several meetings with him during the recent 2011 World Championship.

«During the World Championship Tretyak has approached me twice with conversations on this subject. However, officially it wasn’t offered anything, but the topic of my possible work with the Russian national team has really been brought up», stated Znarok.
