Valery Nepomnyashchy resigns from Tom Tomsk

Tom Tomsk head coach Valery Nepomnyashchy filed his resignation today, which was accepted by the club’s directors, Tom’s official website reported.

According to Nepomnyashchy, the decisive factor for his decision were the team’s results. «I don’t want any speculation about my dissatisfaction with the team’s financial condition. The team got ill and I failed to diagnose the illness. It’s the kind of situation when you should quit,» Nepomnyashchy stated.

Speaking about rumors linking him to Terek Grozny Nepomnyashchy added: «It’s very interesting how someone’s speculations accumulate gossip. Nothing of that has been true by now».
